Joanna Pandera PhD, Founder and President of Forum Energii, the first Polish think tank supporting the energy transition.
Manager with many years of international analytical and policy experience. Former Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Environment and Head of Cabinet of the Minister of Environment from 2007 to 2011. Involved in global (under UNFCCC) and EU climate, energy and environment negotiations.
Part-time Professor at the Florence European University Institute (Florence School of Transnational Governance), member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Environmental Protection - National Research Institute, of the Advisory Board of the European Council on Foreign Relations in Stockholm and of the European Agora Energiewende Council in Brussels. Co-founder of the Polish Council on Energy Security and Climate, bringing together more than 20 recognised energy and climate experts. Board member of the international network of energy think-tanks The INETTT.
She has a PhD in environmental sciences. She has worked in the central government, Polish and foreign universities (Universities of Poznan, Kiel and Potsdam) and international business (e.g. Orsted). Winner of several international scholarships (Erasmus, Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt, Marshall Memorial Fellowship).
Joanna Pandera specialises in European energy and climate regulation, energy markets, renewable energy and the challenges of energy system transformation. Author and co-author of more than 150 analyses and publications, which have been widely cited and formed the basis for many key decisions.
