Online conference | Energy, climate after the elections. Where to start?

Poles voted in October elections with a high turnout, indicating a new balance of power in the Polish parliament. Elections always open a space for new opportunities - to strengthen and direct Poland's energy strategy and to decide on key issues for energy consumers. What are the key challenges in the energy sector that the new government will have to respond to? We will discuss this during the online conference entitled "Energy, climate after the elections. Where to start?"

14 November 2023, 14:30-16:00.
The conference will be held in Polish. Translation into other languages will not be provided by the organiser.

The energy sector in Poland is in a special situation: the energy balance is deteriorating, fuel and CO2 costs are high, and this is reflected in energy prices. The Polish energy sector needs full mobilisation, a viable and coherent strategy, accelerated investments - otherwise energy prices will continue to rise and the security of the system will be seriously tested.

This is a crucial moment for the future of our country. The new government that will be formed in the coming weeks will be responsible for ensuring that the modernisation of Poland's energy sector is seen and given the importance it deserves. This transformation is first and foremost an opportunity to develop the entire Polish economy, to increase the competitiveness of Polish companies on the international market and to stabilise energy prices for consumers in the long term.
